Walk to School Day Article

This year our school had Walk to School Day on Friday the 19th May. When our school had our assembly we talked about Walking to School, what was going to happen and the benefits of walking to your health. We explained how to be safe when walking to school, safety signs and road safety. That morning the Move It comittee came together and gave out juices, fruit slices, boxes of sultanas and tattoos. We separated and some of us had the job to hand out fruit, juice and tattoos, it was a very fun morning enjoyed by all. It got everybody thinking about other ways to get to school instead of taking a car which is better for the environment.

Comments from the day- "It was so much fun to get juice when we got to school!"

"It was such a beautifully organised event!"

"The children loved the happy, smiling faces when entering the school gates"

"This was the best way to start our Friday!"

Go Team LWLC! Thank you for the great article Milan and Jordyn. It's sounds like an excellent event was held. Congrats to all! That's 40 points for the event, 25 for the T2 assembly item and 15 bonus points for descriptive student content.
