This morning we celebrated and contributed to the annual Ride to School Day. We promoted this a couple weeks in advance with the hope many students would get active and ride, scooter or walk to school. We would have had nearly half the school attend this from Kindy to Year 6 students, and it seemed like a large Tour De France event about to unfold. It was unbelievable to see so many scooters and bikes around the school during the day as well as students really enjoying themselves. As big as a build up to Lance Franklin kicking 1000 goals. One Kindy student had even said to me after the short 10-minute journey that it was so much fun and he wanted to do it again! Definitely looking forward to our next active transport event.

It's great to read that students really enjoyed your Ride 2 School Day! 🚴♂️I think your turnout beats Lance's 1000 goals by far. You have earned 40 points for your event day and 10 points for your well written story. We look forward to reading about your next active travel event 😃
