Mount Hawthorn on the Move 2020

Mount Hawthorn Primary are preparing to launch a new look to our school’s approach to Your Move. We are launching this new look with a whole school assembly linked with National Ride2School Day.

The Year 4 students have been making posters promoting the day and visiting classes to present the information. Through the School Newsletters, School Apps and social media we are keeping the community updated on future events.

The Year 4 students from Room 32 have been practising Mulga Bill’ Bicycle and have also innovated their own versions of Banjo’s classic, with scooting, skating, jogging and skipping crazes. This fun performance will be included at the launch.

The data collected from our Hands Up Survey will help us with planning our new approach for 2020. Including new members of staff on our team, with expertise in ICT, we are looking forward to going paperless and upskilling students in using QR codes to collect ongoing data.

A visit from a Bike Dr, thanks to the City of Vincent, who conducted minor servicing and gave helpful advice on bike maintenance, has been a great start to 2020.
