Mount Lawley Primary School celebrated National Ride2School day on Friday 22 March. It was a huge success with almost all the families either scooting, skating, riding or walking to school. There was a noticeable reduction in the vehicle traffic around the school. We handed out stickers and raffle tickets to kids as they entered the school and the kids that had a winning raffle were given a bike bell, bike lock and bike maintenance book. The schools sustainability champions spoke at the assembly to encourage and promote safe alternative ways to get to school to reduce pollution and traffic congestion.

Hi Catherine. Woohoo for sure! The path is looking positively jam-packed with cyclists, pedestrians and 'scootists'! That is wonderful to see! 😍 By the way, the Walk Safely to School Day is May 10th...if Mount Lawley PS wants to continue the active fun! 🚶🚶🚶♂️🚶♀️
