We have just completed our hands up survey and entered the results.
Although there was a decrease in bike riding this survey, there was also a great increase of 8% of our students walking to school. Small changes can make a big difference.
Our students have been participating in Wheely Fun Friday every fortnight this term and receiving a raffle ticket to go into the major prize draw at the assembly in week 7.
As this has been successful and fun for our students with numbers building each fortnight it has been decided to continue this in Term 1 2021.
Our vision is to hold an event each term to encourage our students to ride or walk to school. Our student committee will be more involved in these activities allowing them to show their leadership.
This year we have had a number of staff members promoting bike safety in their classrooms. This has shown with the amount of students starting to ride or walk to school and will flow into 2021.

It certainly has been a great year for Your Move at Noranda. The team and school community have achieved so much - and don't forget about the two grants you secured this year too! Your reflection has earned you 15 points and you automatically also got 50 points separately for uploading your survey results. Yes, there are lots of variables to Active Travel and sometimes some results do go down, but it is clear that the big picture at Noranda is very positive!
