Ride2School Day 2021

Today was National Ride2School Day. It was a beautiful sunny morning and we had a fantastic turn out and filled up the bike racks with scooters, bikes and skateboards. The Your Move student captains were on board to hand out stickers, tattoos and raffle tickets to every student who used active transport to get to school. Everyone that participated, including teachers!, had their name put into a draw to win prizes including Your Move bike bells or drink bottles. Congratulations everybody! Why not choose active transport to get to school more often. It was a great way to kick start the school day and we loved seeing a full bike rack!

Hi Virginia. The full bike parking shot is great (is that an illusion, or does North Morley have poolside bike racks?). I love the idea of including adults in the raffles - a nice way to normalise bike riding so the kids see that it is not just for them (maybe they'll encourage their parents too!). You have earned 40 points for your R2SD celebration, plus 10 points for all the extra details in your story.
