Hands Up Survey for OPS

Recently we completed our second "Hands Up" survey for the year. The results show some improvement with more Active Travel at Osborne Primary, but we think most of it was due to the different weather conditions from June to October. Everyone is so good about coming to school actively on a Friday because it's Fitness for Fun Friday, they've forgotten about the other days in the week! Last week, one class achieved 95% of active travel on FFFF day. The same class only achieved 57% of active travel on our surprise survey day. Shows we need to keep encouraging active travel every day.....not just on a Friday!

I can see your point about the weather Ruth, but "some" is a real understatement! A 61% increase in walking and 105% increase is cycling is certainly not to be sneezed at!! By uploading your results you have separately automatically earned 50 points for your end of year survey and now I have also given you 10 points for your reflective discussion here. If you are not convinced about how much of the improvement is due to your efforts or the sunny weather, you could try another survey on a day with less ideal weather to compare the difference. You can find a record of the weather conditions in June here: http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/202006/html/IDCJDW6111.202006.shtml
