The new Yr 3/4 Your Move monitors decided to add some incentives for National Ride 2 School Day at OPS by including a raffle system and prize draw at the following assembly. We used some of last year's points to select some great prizes from the rewards shop, and made posters to display around the school, encouraging active travel on the day. Regular PA announcements, in the lead up to NR2SD was helping build momentum for the big day.
The librarian jumped on board, and made up a display of books, highlighting active travel in conjunction with NR2SD. Most of these books were previously purchased through the rewards shop.
We registered our school for the big day, through WestCycle, but we are still waiting for the resource pack to arrive in the mail. We also included the date on the school Facebook page, to remind parents about the prize draw. All we need now is some fabulous weather, to make the day a huge success.

Hi Ruth. It looks as though everyone has been super busy preparing for the BIG day. OPS has earned 60 points for getting the student team on track, 20 points for the Your Move library display and 10 points for sharing on social media. A bonus 10 points were awarded for the quality of your story. Looking forward to hearing more and wishing for sunshine on the 19th.
