Phoenix PS join in on National Ride to School Day 2023

Hello again! Lucy here. It's time update you on our Travel Smart news. We are excited to tell you about our Ride to School Day. We realised that on National Ride to School Day, a lot of people were at Interschool sports.. but that didn’t stop us from doing it! Our Ride to School Day was very enjoyable and interesting to do. We had fantastic incentives for our students such as stickers, pens, raffle tickets, prizes and more! We counted 67 students (plus their families) riding to school on bikes, scooters and even one on a skateboard!

We told the students about Ride to School day through posters we made for each class, our school newsletter, Connect posts, Facebook stories and a reminder at our assembly. We are now excited to create raffle tickets for each student who rode to school and hand out some bike shop vouchers for two lucky students at our next whole school assembly.
