Rockingham General Hospital staff are getting ready for November's WA Bike Month Challenge. As part of the Healthier Workplaces initiative the staff wellness committee have held two cycling events that encourage staff to ride to work. As part of this year's Bike Week in March staff were encouraged to cycle a bike blender for a fruit smoothie and try an electric bike, showcased by KD cycles in Rockingham. This event also promoted the end of trip facilities and bike storage area. Stay tuned for more info on the second bike event. I'm always surprised when we get our travel survey results back how many people don't know about their building bike storage facilities. Using your Ride2Word day event as an opportunity to promote them is a great idea!
