WA Bike Month at Fiona Stanley Hospital

Nadine Radin
57

During November Fiona Stanley Hospital staff competed in the Department of Transport’s WA Bike Month Challenge, coming first in the ‘Healthcare’ category (over 2000 staff) and fourth overall winner within Western Australia. Shannon Mullen Senior Pharmacist at FSH (in photo) as challenge champion encouraged another 52 staff to participate in the challenge. The teams together rode 13,200 kilometres for the month. It was great that cyclist encouraged cyclists during the challenge.

The WA Bike Month Challenge is a fun program for all Western Australians to encourage their friends, family and colleagues to ride a bike and share in the benefits of riding. It doesn't matter if you ride every day or haven't been on a bike in years. Hospital staff enjoyed the challenge and many found it a great way to unwind from a busy day of work.
