Constable Care – Best Excursion Ever!

“Best excursion ever!” were the words heard repeatedly during and after the Constable Care Safety School excursion.

A big shout out to the Department of Transport ‘Your Move’ program for providing the Connecting Schools Grant which enabled our Year 4 cohort to attend the Constable Care Safety School in Maylands at the end of Term 4 last year.

This excursion provided our students with the opportunity to practice fundamental pedestrian and cyclist road safety skills in a controlled, yet realistic environment. This practical experience promotes and supports a positive culture of active travel in our school community, as students build the confidence to navigate their way to school independently.

Thank you to the awesome team at Constable Care for making the experience one to remember! The students had a fabulous time and learned a lot! Check out their posters below!

Welcome back to YM for 2024 Leanne and everyone at Vic Park Primary 😄. Well you can't ask for better feedback than "best ever", can you? I remember how much I loved the old version of this excursion in the 70s and 80s - so I understand how exciting it is for the kids. You have earned 50 points for organising this activity and 10 points for sharing those joyful story details. Have a wonderful first week back!
