Yesterday champions from COR YM schools met for Term 2's networking session. Warm welcomes to Leslie (nice to finally meet you!) & City of Mandurah's Nick & Emma who came along to see how they might implement networking in Mandurah. Kieran, COR Community Development Officer, facilitated the session.

Carol-Ann via Zoom updated us on news from YM HQ. This included the Super Boost, upcoming event dates & the recent online PL. Carol-Ann is always happy to answer any queries or guide us in the right direction. Always appreciated, Carol-Ann.

Leslie, coming from a high school perspective, suggested a few ideas for the Rewards shop. Being new to YM she also asked lots of questions to which I hope we were able to provide answers! I always say if you don't ask, you don't find out! So Leslie I hope we helped you along part of the way...

Bett & I updated the group on how our Team is going; our hosted walks for NWS2SD, participating in the Way Finding design competition & the seed of an idea (proposed by one of the Team) for an AT reward in its preliminary planning stages.

Discussion was had on lightness of numbers: was it NAPLAN week that kiboshed our usually healthier attendance or was it a case of "swings & roundabouts"? Always a learning curve...

Nick & Emma gave us a potted history of how COM became involved with the YM journey last year & how they are travelling. It is always good to share journeys..

Thanks for organizing & facilitating this session, Kieran. No matter what our numbers, I always find them invaluable in being able to connect with others & all the positives that brings with it.
