The City has launched it's 'Kick Start Your Walk to School Funding' as part of our Community Funding Program.
Schools within the City of Wanneroo who are part of the ‘Your Move’ program (run by the Department of Transport) are able to apply for $200 Kickstarter Grant towards hosting a National Walk Safely to School Day Healthy Breakfast on Friday 10th of May 2024. Schools who are not part of Your Move are encouraged to sign up.
Walking or riding to school reduces traffic congestion, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and improves health and wellbeing. The City aims to inspire long-term change by supporting these initiatives encouraging students and their families to get active and walk to school. A P&C representative from a City of Wanneroo ‘Your Move’ school can apply via the Community Funding page Kickstart Your Walk to School Funding - City of Wanneroo.
