The City of Wanneroo and WestCycle are providing FREE Women on Wheels learn to ride sessions starting this Friday! 🚲🚲

These sessions consist of 4 weeks of workshops to introduce women who have no experience to bike riding, covering all the beginner topics and aims to progress you through to being confident to continue once the program ceases.

Don't own a bike, no problem! Bikes will be provided by Bicycles 4 Humanity for FREE and helmet safety checks will also be provided.

These sessions run on the : 19th April, 26th April, 3rd May, 10th May

The sessions will cover the following topics: Preparing to ride including what to wear and carry, positioning on the bike. Skill assessment and development including braking, balancing, cornering/turning, scanning. Traffic awareness including developing the skills and etiquette of riding on paths and road as well as basic bike maintenance.

Bike maps and guides will also be handed out to participants.

Hi Sophie - I love these "Women on Wheels" sessions that roll out! Make sure you give us an update (and photos too please if possible) once the sessions have started as we can only award points for activities once they have actually occurred (rather than planned activities) 😁.
