National Ride 2 School Day

Friday 22nd March 2024 was National Ride 2 School Day.

The City encouraged all Your Move and Non Your Move schools to take part through Facebook promotion, emails to Your Move Schools and promotion in the Champion's Networking Session and Principal and Champions Information Session.

9 Your Move Schools let the City know that they would be participating in the event. These Your Move schools were hand delivered stickers, which I obtained from the rewards store to hand out to students on the day.

Councillor attendance at Schools were as follows: Cr Bronwyn Smith attended St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, Cr Glynis Parker attended East Butler Primary School, Cr Jacqueline Huntley attended Grandis Primary School, Cr Natalie Herridge attended Lansdale Gardens Primary School as well as Ashdale Primary School. Mindarie Primary School hand Yanchep Rise Primary School also held events on the day.

Mayor Linda Aitken and I attended Clarkson Primary School. Lisa, the school's champion enthusiastically greeted students with music blaring from speakers. Mayor Aitken handed stickers out to arrivals with student helpers and Mr Morris. The school's Owl Mascot waved and high-fived students as they walked in/ rode in. It was wonderful to see all the students riding/ walking and scooting to school.

Super effort Sophie and everyone at CoW! Thanks so much for sharing all your promotion efforts for NR2SD - and great to hear that you and your elected members got out to so many of the 9 participating schools. You have earned 30 points for getting involved in NR2SD, 30 bonus 'outstanding' points for your big promo efforts and another 20 for sharing all the details here.
