Honeywood Primary School applied to the Department of Transport for a grant for our WA Bike Month Event.

WestCycle on behalf of the Department of Transport administered the Bike Month Grants.

Our Event encouraging more students to ride their bike or scooter to and from school for a day involved a competition for students to Dress Up their Bike.

Prizes were awarded to students in the following categories: years 1 & 2, years 3 & 4 and years 5 & 6.

We were successful in being awarded a $250 grant. This money was used to purchase five $50 vouchers to be used as prizes for each category.

The $50 vouchers were purchased from a local bike store to encourage families to support a local bike business in the community.

The winning students were so excited and grateful for the vouchers.

Hi again Danielle! That is great news that you were successful in obtaining a Bike Month grant. It sounds like it was well appreciated by the winners and nice too that you used a local shop for the prizes. You have earned 40 points for letting us know all about it!
