Travelling Safely to School

Recently, members of the City of Rockingham RoadWise Advisory Committee visited Pine View PS as part of the Safe Travel to School project. We are very pleased to report that we observed students using safe road behaviours such as; Using designated footpaths, Wearing helmets when cycling or scootering, Holding an adult’s hand when walking (under 10 years of age), Alighting from the safety door (back left passenger door) when coming to school by car, Checking the road before crossing.

Arlene Yates from the Advisory Committee then returned to Pine View PS and congratulated our community for using safe road behaviours at an assembly. She also delivered and demonstrated on how to safely cross the road, especially if you are under the age of 10.

Remember the practice of safe road behaviours is worth a lifetime!

Hi Clayton. Yes, I'd have to agree with you on that one, 'The practice of safe road behaviours is worth a lifetime'! 30 points for including Your Move & safety as an assembly item. Ps. Is this preparation for the Walk Safely to School Day on 10 May? 😉😉

You also got 10 points for your story details Clayton. Talking of details, what did the RoadWise Advisory Committee get up to whilst at Pine View?
