On Friday the 22nd of March 2024, SPS participated in the Active Travel ‘National Ride to School’ event! It was a great event and such a success with so many families taking active travel by scooting, skating, riding, or walking to school. It was quite noticeable to see an improved reduction in the car traffic around the school and seeing the bike and scooter racks fill up. Thank you, to the wonderful YM team, for setting up, getting everything set to go and helping set up for the fruit and snack table, stickers, and tattoos for all the active travellers as they arrived!
What a wonderful turn out of all our students on Wheels rolling in, as well as, spotting those amazing students getting to get picked for “Helmet Heroes”. Thank you to the wonderful school for your genius idea! All the selected students could head to the office to retrieve a prize, these items were purchased from the YM REWARD shop! Some of the gifted items on offer were water bottles, bike lights, back packs, bike bell, and slap bands. Thank you, and well done, Scarborough Primary!

Hi Sandy. Great to see all those bikes, all those helmets and all those smiles! 😍Scarborough PS Your Move team is definitely putting in a huge effort. Maybe some clinkers to reward them?! 😉 SPS has earned 40 points for running an active travel event and 10 points for a nice, detailed story.
