YM team's working lunch to plan National Ride to School Day 2024!

Today, at lunchtime I met with our YM student team for a working lunch to discuss our plans for tomorrow’s event - National Ride 2 School Day!! The students arrived before me and started chatting about Your Move! It was wonderful to walk into the room to see such enthusiasm and excitement!

We are ready with our event signs, Your Move flag, prize box for our chosen ‘helmet hero’ students. This is such a brilliant idea we are using from another school’s idea! We are all set with sticker packs, tattoos and the chosen class that will be collecting the data. My amazing team are meeting at 8am to help set up in preparation for the student’s arrival. We will set up in the undercover area serving fruit and light snacks to the active travellers. The team will break out into different areas, at the entrances to the school grounds, new building gate, main gate, at the bike racks and undercover area. We will welcome the students and direct them to the fruit and nibbles, the team will hand out stickers and I will hand out the helmet hero cards. The data will be collected before recess tomorrow as we want to announce the results during the on-air assembly. Well done team! See you bright and early!!
