Your Move Day was celebrated at our school on Friday 27 October. The children enjoyed walking to school on this day. Your Move is a community based, behaviour change program to help students become more active by increasing how often they walk to school.
This has health and environmental impacts. Being active and having a sense of belonging contributes to the happiness and mental health of the students. We strongly encouraged our students to arrive at school on foot, we asked our students to complete a photo scavenger hunt along the way.
We encouraged all our families to take up this opportunity to get out and start a new habit. The students were especially delighted to receive a piece of fresh fruit and stickers. Some very special visitors, dressed in blue also made an appearance and made everyone's day with Tattoo’s! A big shout to Coles in Victoria Park for the fruit donation.
