Catchy Comms Create Conditions for Change

Last month was Bike Month and as part of achieving the aims to get staff on their bike, WALGA’s internal sustainability team, Greenworks, sent out an email each week promoting bike riding. The posts focused on the health, environmental, and economic benefits of riding a bike to work and profiling staff bike riding.

WALGA’s Bike Month Communication Plan includes the following 4 weekly emails to staff:

1. Promoting the health benefits of bike riding

2. The environmental benefits of bike riding

3. The economic benefits of bike riding

4. Profiling staff riding to work

We will continue to keep the momentum going from Bike Month with some bike training for staff in the new year to build their confidence to ride to meetings in the City.

Your CCCCC looks like a really fun and comprehensive weekly promo Gemma. Great that you are profiling some staff as role models as well as promoting the benefits of getting on your bike. You have earned 25 points for this 4-week blitz plus 20 points for really filling us in what you covered. I'd love to give you bonus points for your alliteration too - but that might be pushing it 🤣!
