Bike Ed 2021

Our school has been lucky to receive some funding to help support our Year 6 students understand Bike Safety and Road Awareness. All students were excited about learning new skills on their bikes.

The school basketball court was turned into a skills track and the focus was control rather than speed. Some found this difficult.

All students were extremely diligent in completing the course as required and the instructor was impressed with the enthusiasm of all involved.

The students moved into our school grounds and found our cross country track, which challenged their skills again.

Next week our Year 6s will take an active role in cleaning and building a track through our school bush area ready for all students to participate in.

Great to hear that you got some extra funding for the Bike Ed, Mike. Was it a grant from us or elsewhere? You have earned another 10 points for today's update on your skills sessions.
