Walliston Primary School held its annual Ride 2 School day and we had over 200 students participate! The morning began at 8:15am down at Bill Shaw Reserve (a local park not too far away from school), as our deputy principal and parent volunteers waited for our eager riders to arrive. After a quick briefing on our journey plan and road safety considerations, our amazing riders were off on their way!

Parents and our amazing school teachers acted as marshals to direct the students towards are school and to ride up onto the oval. As students rode towards the basketball courts they were given a 'Ride 2 School' sticker.

To promote the event and get as many students as possible involved, we also created a competition for the dest dressed bike! We had a 3-way tie for our winning bikes!

Our Ride 2 School day was such a success that we have seen an increase in the amount of students riding and even walking to school each day. Thanks to all the parents, staff and of course our amazing students for supporting this great event!
