Ride2Work Breakfast

Stantec is keen to support its employees in their efforts to use alternate transportation to commute to their office. To join in on Australia’s biggest celebration of commuter riding on National Ride2Work day on the 19th October, Stantec put together a breakfast of fruit and healthy muffins for its staff to enjoy and discuss their journey after their ride into the office. We had so many people gather throughout the morning after partaking in a sunny morning ride.

The activity tied in well with the timing of the 10,000 steps per day challenge that was also happening at Stantec throughout October where participants could log minutes of moderate and vigorous activity to count toward their steps. (More to come on WA-specific outcomes from this activity coming soon…!)

We had both frequent riders and new riders participate on the day, some even getting a group organized to ride in together. Stantec’s office’s end of trip facilities were the perfect foundation for Ride2Workers to park their bikes for the day and clean up for a day in the office. We are super proud of all those who took the steps for an early morning wake up to try to make their commute matter – to both their health and the environment.

Hi again Courtney. It is great to see Stantec supporting their staff in getting involved in National Ride2Work Day. The breakfast sounds a good way to refuel and it is good to know the end of trip facilities are hitting the mark. You have earned another 40 points for this event, plus 10 points for your engaging story. I look forward to hearing how the 10,000 Steps Challenge went and also perhaps any ideas or plans you have for 2023. See you soon 😁!
